My Knight in Shining Armor

I don't know why all through this years my Blog post My Knight in Shining Armor has the most Pageviews from June 2, 2010 until now 2011..

Really when i watched "The Vampire Diaries" Damon Salvatore known as Ian Somerhalder catch my attention thou Stefan Salvatore maybe for others should be their ideal man who deserves love in return.

For real, My ideal man is someone who's a bad boy, someone like Damon Salvatore, Ian Somerhalder, who portrays in "The Vampire Diaries" Is it weird? Loving someone you doesn't know that will love you in return? like in the TV series, Damon doesn't have a friend he even use girls to have fun but, with Elena everything he was changed. likewise, I want a man that i can control not to be under me but, loves me that's why he does. I want to change what others sees in him and show them he also have a good heart. Everyone have an Ideal man you maybe lucky to have one that you like but, not every Ideal man you want doesn't mean he's the only one whom can have you. The key to have your Knight in Shining Armor. is by using your Heart over your Mind :-)

Phenomenology of Death

R.I.P
Kate Canlas Pangan
"I look at life as a gift of God.
Now that he wants it back I have no right to complain.
 ---Joyce Cary"

Everyone has a fear of Death and that is something we can't hide. I quoted "I look at life as a gift of God. Now that he wants it back I have no right to complain which is true.

What does death mean? Your death, something you can do nothing about yet which you must face and face alone, unarmed, defenseless, utterly naked. It waits for you: the ultimate unknown.
When it comes to a question "What will you do if you'll be dead tomorrow" Everyone have the same answer - Live my life to the fullest, say sorry, thank you, i love you, probably you'll spend your next 24hours doing everything just to make things right. but, unfortunately one things for sure "No one gets alive"

Sometimes when someone you love, your family, relatives nor friends was dead. you always tell your self "Why Him/Her? Why not ME? maybe we utter those words because We're hurt, because we don't accept the fact that God took them already. Is that being selfish? that, why does God took someone who is so kind? the one who's so angelic? Yes, we live for a purpose but WHY doesn't we know when the MISSION ACCOMPLISHED?

4.27.10there was one thing I experienced, way back April 27, 2010 almost a year ago..it was a very remarkable experienced i had and a lesson to be learned. I was at the mall with my elder sister and our youngest sibling while were on shopping my allergies attacked me then i got panic and drink my med. but, i can't take it anymore because they're getting worse. so i asked my sister if we can go home already and say Yes. while going to the parking lot my sight went yellowish it was like a bright light then got blurred and i break down. I don't really know what happen to me that day, i was unconscious, thay can't feel my pulse and everything. The only thing i know when i wake-up was my sister is calling me/ shouting my name just to be awake i remember her saying "KATE, KATE, KATE, GUMISING KA"

Why did it happen to me? and why did God save me that day? I know it is weird to say the words WHY? instead of questioning, just be thankful.

You know you should spend every moment of your life, Wherever you go, whatever you do, an armed assassin walks behind you. The nozzle presses cold against your neck. The gun is cocked, the bullet ready to shatter you forever. You have no place to run, nowhere to hide. No one can help you. The assassin's finger is always on the trigger. Always. Why doesn't he blow you away? Not yet. But soon. At any moment.

Phenomenology of Love

My Phenomenological Experience of LOVE

Love is a very mysterious thing. Most of us act as though we know what it is without truly understanding its meaning and essence. This has been true of me. Before I encountered this phenomenology of love, I already had experiences of loving other people. However, I was belonged to the people whom Erich Fromm described as believing in the popular notion of love. I emphasized the characteristics of the people I loved, why I needed them, and I mostly demanded that they love me more than I demanded myself to love them. I even viewed love in the “scientistic” way – something caused by hormones and dictated solely by the hypothalamus. My concept love was shallow. "Yes, I felt it, but I knew it not."

However, all that changed when I came across the phenomenology of love. It was an articulation of fundamental characteristics of love which I knew my heart was saying but my mind was incapable of putting into words. When I was reading the said phenomenology, I constantly had that weird feeling of realizing something and relating to it strongly with past experiences. I strongly agree with it.Indeed, love begins with the experience of loneliness and then grows as someone reaches out lovingly to the other. I also experienced that, but did not know its meaning in relation to the love I had. Indeed, in loving others, I always sought their love too, in the same or in even greater measure than that which I gave them. But I realized with the phenomenology that it is alright to feel that way and wish for the same, but that it should not be the motivation in my loving act.

What struck me the most was the statement that when we “love” someone without knowing our true worth, we are like making them trash bins to whom we throw ourselves. Because of this and the entirety of the phenomenology of love, I learned what loving is truly all about. Indeed, it’s a many-splendored thing.

Life is Beautiful

“Life is Beautiful”
There are a lot of beautiful things around us. It’s just a matter of how we see it and whether we’re able to realize it. In life, of course there are always some ups and downs; However, I believe, that even in most difficult situation, there’s always a beautiful thing. As wise people say, “Everything happens for a reason” la vita e Bella.

I agree Life is really beautiful, first for being here on earth I thank God for my life but as well as my Mom who gave birth to me.

You will see how beautiful life is by living simple, I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody. There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. Whether you call it fate or destiny, I don’t believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.

Many of us spend each day of our life searching, seeking for the simple life. It’s a wonderful life it is not simply a movie. If you have the answers you seek to make this wonderful journey you can actually have one. For all its ups and downs and good and bad days, life truly is a wonderful journey, if you understand it is more about the trip then where it inevitably takes you. Along the way however there are "direction aids" that make a beautiful life far more beneficial, spectacular, creative and pleasant journey. Don't spend a half life learning what the phrase ' it’s my life ' really means. Bring life and its meaning into your heart, mind and soul. The mistake most people make about finding a beautiful life is searching for the answer instead of living it.
A person, who cannot find the beauty of life, is a person, who cannot find peace, cannot find fulfillment. Prosperity, Power and Popularity are not the solutions to human suffering, because you may have them all and still feel incomplete. There are many prosperous, powerful and popular individuals who need mind altering drugs and other freaky activities to keep them excited and still aren't content.

Finding your purpose therefore will be determined by your ability to appreciate every moment by making the most positive use of it because every breath of life you take you are one breath closer to death. So live right and do well always enjoy the existence you have now and if you awaken and realize that these was all a dream and then make it a sweet dream.

Phenomenology

Phenomenology, in Husserl's conception, is primarily concerned with the systematic reflection on and analysis of the structures of consciousness, and the phenomena that appear in acts of consciousness.

It has been defined as: subjectivity; awareness; the ability to experience feelings; wakefulness; having a sense of selfhood; or the executive control system of the mind.

We are conscious because we all have emotions. When we get to know a person we became close to them because we are aware.

I had this experience wherein someone gave me something worthless, as in, it was candies. This was last summer when i was with him then asks me if I want lollipop but then it fell on the ground I use to pick it but he asked me not to do so, so in return he just gave me candies. Know what the funny thing I kept the candy wrappers on my wallet so stupid right? I don’t know why I can’t throw those wrappers until now they are still on my wallet, Promise!

Because I know that person just mean to me, a worthless gift from someone special means more than a thousand things. As they say You can’t buy everything even someone’s happiness.

What is the meaning of life?

hat is the meaning of life?
W hat does it mean to be a human being?
          hy are we here?

Existentialism is the philosophy that places emphasis on individual existence, freedom, and choice. But, How does it came to "What is the meaning of life?" To understand the meaning of life we have to turn to the source, or creator. If you believe in such things, that is God. If he put us here, it was for a purpose. So He may be the only one able to provide us with the answer.

Everyone has its own meaning of life; the meaning of life for me is, being here on earth as a Human Being living freely with no hesitation. We all know were here because of God, He is our creator and being alive is one of the greatest gifts we received.

We'll only see the meaning of life if we seek for it, it isn't that easy to find answers to every questions. Like, why are we here? And why do we need to die? Life is so beautiful if you just see its worth. When you wake-up every morning that is already a blessing for God give you another day to live. The Meaning of Life is based on the Bible because, God is our creator. Each one of us have its own purpose why are we here.

You just have to make everyday a meaningful one and make each day remarkable that you leave your footsteps as day pass by and you'll see, what’s really the meaning of life.

If i am not a human being...

If i am not a Human being I would like to become a Plant.

Plant because, Human being is like a plant from a seed it grows and bear fruit, a human from fetus to a lady that bears a child. A plant grows independently, a plant that doesn't get sunlight and water dies, as well as Human being, that doesn't get enough food to eat can't survive. In life there are ups and down, like in weather there is rainy season and sunny days, No matter what season/weather comes still a plant stand tall. As well as human beings, We don't easily fall no matter what struggle comes in our life. Life isn't that easy to give up as long as there is faith and trust. And Even though how many years come still you'll see that Plant alive as long as we take care and never cut of it Like humans, as long as we take care of ourselves we'll still remain alive no matter how many decades will come. Plant and care for trees for they also give us life.

Existentialism

After being not in my mood, finally Good Vibes! Done with my Homework in Philosophy, Existentialism Chart.
As I do my Homework I've marked some phrases:

  • The Problems considered by existentialist thinkers arise out of personal experience.
  • Man as the original center, the source of initiative, who has depth, who transcends determinations, the openness and giver of meaning to the world.
  • To exist is to co-exist, to participate in the fullness of being (God) through love, fidelity and faith.
  • Pushing and rolling stone, to live the absurdity of life.
  • Freedom is what enables man to pass from the aesthetic state to the ethical, and ultimately to make leap of faith, the highest act of man's liberty.
  • The being-ahead-of-itself of dasein while having-been and making-present entities in his world.
  • Existence precedes essence. Man first exist then gradually creates his own essence.
  • Freedom is man's ability to say "Yes"
  • For life to be human , it must answer the question, What am I living for?
  • Value is subjective because value always presupposes a subject who values: value is always value-for-me.
  • Value is objective because there is truly something I can live and die for.
Just as man cannot evade time, so he cannot escape from this search for meaning, for upon this hinges the integrity and wholeness of his humanity.

Until you stand on your own two feet

Just watched "Pepito Manaloto" And he quoted "He learned how to stand on his own feet. Someday somewhat I'll Stand on my own. but now, I need support from my parents, my siblings, family and friends. Isn't that easy to stand alone with no one who'll guide you through. Like looking in a Mirror and try to Reflect yourself, not what you see physically but, what is in your inner side. You won't be what you are now unless no one guide you as you grow up. We will stand on our own feet in right time, we don't have to hurry what we have now be contented and learn to wait. That time will use what we learned, to be independent and provide yourself with all the things that you need to live without having to ask anyone else to help you.

Try it!

My friend just message me a link, then i opened it, actually its a Psychological test.

What is Psychological Testing?

Psychological testing is a field characterized by the use of samples of behavior in order to assess psychological construct(s), such as cognitive and emotional functioning, about a given individual. The technical term for the science behind psychological testing is psychometrics. By samples of behavior, one means observations of an individual performing tasks that have usually been prescribed beforehand, which often means scores on a test. These responses are often compiled into statistical tables that allow the evaluator to compare the behavior of the individual being tested to the responses of a norm group.

A psychological test is an instrument designed to measure unobserved constructs, also known as latent variables. Psychological tests are typically, but not necessarily, a series of tasks or problems that the respondent has to solve. Psychological tests can strongly resemble questionnaires, which are also designed to measure unobserved constructs, but differ in that psychological tests ask for a respondent's maximum performance whereas a questionnaire asks for the respondent's typical performance.[1] A useful psychological test must be both valid (i.e., there is evidence to support the specified interpretation of the test results[2]) and reliable (i.e., internally consistent or give consistent results over time, across raters, etc.).
It is important that people who are equal on the measured construct also have an equal probability of answering the test items correctly.[3] For example, an item on a mathematics test could be "In a soccer match two players get a red card; how many players are left in the end?"; however, this item also requires knowledge of soccer to be answered correctly, not just mathematical ability. Group membership can also influence the chance of correctly answering items (differential item functioning). Often tests are constructed for a specific population, and this should be taken into account when administering tests. If a test is invariant to some group difference (e.g. gender) in one population (e.g. England) it does not automatically mean that it is also invariant in another population.

Interpreting scores

Psychological tests, like many measurements of human characteristics, can be interpreted in a norm-referenced or criterion-referenced manner. Norms are statistical representations of a population. A norm-referenced score interpretation compares an individual's results on the test with the statistical representation of the population. In practice, rather than testing a population, a representative sample or group is tested. This provides a group norm or set of norms. One representation of norms is the Bell curve (also called "normal curve"). Norms are available for standardized psychological tests, allowing for an understanding of how an individual's scores compare with the group norms. Norm referenced scores are typically reported on the standard score (z) scale or a rescaling of it.
criterion-referenced interpretation of a test score compares an individual's performance to some criterion other than performance of other individuals. For example, the generic school test typically provides a score in reference to a subject domain; a student might score 80% on a geography test. Criterion-referenced score interpretations are generally more applicable to achievement tests rather than psychological tests.
Often, test scores can be interpreted in both ways; a score of 80% on a geography test could place a student at the 84th percentile, or a standard score of 1.0 or even 2.0.

Types of psychological tests

There are several broad categories of psychological tests:
  • IQ/achievement tests
  • Public safety employment tests
  • Attitude tests
  • Neuropsychological tests
  • Personality tests
  • Objective tests (Rating scale or self-report measure)
  • Projective tests (Free response measures)
  • Sexological tests
  • Direct observation tests

Test security

Many psychological tests are generally not available to the public, but rather, have restrictions both from publishers of the tests and from psychology licensing boards that prevent the disclosure of the tests themselves and information about the interpretation of the results.Test publishers consider both copyright and matters of professional ethics to be involved in protecting the secrecy of their tests, and they sell tests only to people who have proved their educational and professional qualifications to the test maker's satisfaction. Purchasers are legally bound from giving test answers or the tests themselves out to the public unless permitted under the test maker's standard conditions for administration of the tests.  via WikiPedia
