Mashed Potato

How to make mashed potato?

What You Need

Ingredients
2 teaspoons salt
1 large Yukon Gold potato per person (about 1/2 to 3/4 pound apiece)
1 tablespoon butter, or more as desired
1/2 cup milk or cream, or more as needed
1 ounce cream cheese (optional)
Freshly ground black pepper

Tools
3-quart pot (or larger)
Wooden spoon
Fork

Peel the potatoes. Cut them in half, then in quarters, lengthwise. Then cut the quarters into thin strips. You can chop them finer, if you feel like it; the finer they are, going into the water, the easier they will be to mash later. Slip the potatoes into the boiling water and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are falling-apart tender.

When the potatoes are quite soft, drain them completely and return them to the pan over medium heat. Add the butter and cook for a few minutes over medium heat (I used Vanilla flavor butter in mine but, its up to you what to use to make the pan non sticky :))

Just cook, stir, and smash....

When any remaining water has evaporated, and the potatoes are quite smashed up and smooth, Pour the milk in slowly, stirring constantly. Keep stirring and cooking until the potatoes are quite hot, creamy, and smooth.

Taaaaadddaaaaaannn! This was my first time to cook mashed potato but, my sister told me it taste good. Sorrry for the low quality of photos (used Xperia x10i)

“Preserving Mankind with Kojie.san Men”

“How can one preserve the concept of manliness in this modern age of liberal views and cultural influences?”

What would really a girl like me tell about a man's view? If in fact, we have different views. I know most of the girls out there are concious of how they appear to everyone they met but, itsn't just girls need to be pleasant. Who would like to meet someone who don't have proper grooming? Ofcourse It must be a "Turn On" to a girl to meet a guy with a pleasing personality but nowadays it's not just the personality but, as well as the hygiene and looks count.

There's a saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" but, admit it we dont really do that instead we easily judge people how they exactly look because, as we know, how they present themselves to us shows who they are.

Let's preserve manliness in this modern age and help those who have poor hygiene to recommend them use Kojie.san.

Crêpes

  I've seen Pepper.ph Recipe of  "French Crêpes" and because I'm dying to know how to cook it. I've made one this morning, so here's its recipe;

Classic French Crêpes

makes 6

1 cup milk
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 whole eggs
pinch of salt
butter, for cooking
  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. Rest for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan on medium heat. Melt 1 teaspoon of butter, and pour crêpe batter into the hot pan (about 1/3 cup).
  3. Brown on one side, about 2 minutes. Cook on the other side for 1 minute. Repeat with the rest of the batter.

for a change because Im out of stock with nutella in my fridge, I just put confiture de fraises (strawberry jam) or any spread you want and added Maple syrup in it just for a dressing.

Food.. food.. food, who doesn't love to eat btw?

So, Who's the Blogger of the Month?

Congrats to Erwan Heusaff! Let's Dig-in his Blog!

I started cooking at the very young age of 8, the little annoying kid seated firmly at the kitchen counter awaiting for scraps to come my way and diligently watching the cooks do their thing. I then started experimenting with different recipes I would hear people talking about or trying to recreate food that I’ve tasted in the past. I understood early, that food would become a passion of mine. As I grew up I understood the business side of things more and found that for me the whole concept of a food offer interested me more than actual being in the kitchen, which is why I decided to pursue international business in college, in France, and not the culinary arts, but I never lost sight of my love for food. This love quickly turned into hatred as I expanded into a heavy 240 pounds. - Source
Now i know why he named his blog "the fat kid inside" but, guess who wouldn't get fat of being obsess with foods? and who wouldn't say they love eating? of course, all of us have favorite food whether it is something sweet an appetizer, main course or desserts.

I love experimenting that's why i'm studying MT likewise in cooking as well. I wanna learn more in kitchen as they say "a way to man's heart is through his stomach" We all started cooking from frying egg either scrambled or sunny side-up, tell me who doesn't know how to cook it. Your so pathetic :))

But, even though you can't resist eating you must also watch and choose the right food on what you eat. You might not want to be big in a sec. twas so easy to gain weight in eating but, it wasn't that fast to lose everything you eat in a day. So happy to found out Erwann's blog aside from it there are also healthy foods for those who are body conscious.

Happy Eating! :)
